About Good Muda

Hey, I’m Miguel!

I’m a Dutch-Portuguese, living in the Alentejo in search of a more simple lifestyle with an organic vegetable garden. My wish for the future is to transform my traditional farm house into a yoga retreat center.
And in the meanwhile I’m happy to share several rooms and a private holiday house with guests visiting this beautiful wild beach area of Portugal.

About the area

Portugal’s west coast Alentejo region is lined with glorious undiscovered white beaches and home to the buzzing coastal villages of Comporta and Melides.

The land behind our coast is mostly untouched rural nature, where locals live from harvesting cork trees and pine nuts. These trees create a magical and tranquil forest vibe around our land, where a few narrow roads swirl around the hills towards the sea.

Although we are still on an ‘Unnamed road’ in a quiet corner under Comporta, we are a short ride away from these more busy hubs like Grandôla, Carvahal and Melides, where you can find plenty of shops, supermarkets and cute restaurants and beach bars.
